Wilfred Wiebe, 84, of Canton, South Dakota, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020, at Canton Hiawatha Heights.

Private family burial was Wednesday July 1.

Willie was born Nov. 20, 1935, in Beloit, Iowa, son of William and Marie (Ludvig) Wiebe. He attended school in Canton until enlisting in the Marines in 1952 and serving three years. 

On Nov. 22, 1956, he married Arlys Severson. They made their home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, until 1966 when they moved to an acreage near Canton. He worked as a bricklayer over 40 years. 

Survivors include three sons, Kevin and Jim (Diana) of Canton and Marlon (Kris) of Madison, South Dakota; eight grandsons; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Rosie (Art) Stensland of Larchwood, Iowa, along with numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; brothers, Eddie and Ozzie (Joyce), and sisters, Bena (Lowell) Harmon, Esther (Ernie) Twedt, Mary (Truman) Monen and Leona (
