Scott Anthony Lens, 58, of Rock Rapids, Iowa, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at his home.

Memorial visitation was Wednesday, Sept. 4, at Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids.  

Scott was born March 8, 1961, in Rock Rapids.  He grew up in Rock Rapids and attended Central Lyon schools, graduating in 1980. 

On July 11, 1987, he married Sandra Gerritsen. The family moved from Sioux City, Iowa, to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, until finally settling in Rock Rapids. He held various jobs that mostly revolved around auto body. In the past, he owned East Side Auto Body and worked for Arrow Manufacturing. He most recently was a machinist at Sudenga Industries. 

Survivors include his daughter, Courtney Lens of Harrisburg, South Dakota; two grandsons, Trigg and Dravlin; his significant other, Carrie Gutierrez, and his four siblings and mother.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Lens; and his grandparents.
