Lucille Daniels, 85 of George, Iowa, died Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Memorial service was Monday, July 27, at Lyon County First Presbyterian Church, rural George.
Lucille Reiter was born Oct. 24, 1934, in Nobles County, Minnesota, daughter of Henry and Anna (Schipper) Reiter. Lucille grew up near Rushmore, Minnesota, until the family to Ocheyedan, Iowa, when she was 9. She attended country school through eighth grade and graduated from Sibley High School in 1954. She worked as a bookkeeper for Co-Op Oil in Sibley.
On March 20, 1959, she married Simon Daniels.
Survivors include five children, Marlin Daniels of George, Linda (Bob) Martens of Ashton, Iowa, David (Lisa) Daniels of George, Glenn Daniels of George and Janet (Tim) Walker of George; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Ruby Janssen, Donna Grave and Paul (Carmen) Reiter, all of Sibley, Iowa, and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Harvey in infancy, Earl, Dale and Ronald, and four brothers-in-law, Gerrit Vreeman, Marv Grave, Harold TenCate and Harold Janssen.
