Local manufacturer releases country music video

Maintainer Custom Bodies, with production facilities in Rock Rapids and Sheldon, is expanding its presence at the upcoming Fire Department Instructors Conference international conference and exhibition April 26-28. In addition to sending two unique emergency vehicles to Indianapolis, Maintainer Custom Bodies has partnered with a country singer to create a new country music video that honors firefighters.

John Riggins wrote and performed
the single “Big Red Truck (A
Firefighter’s Life).” Maintainer Custom Bodies, with the
help of Miami Township (Ohio) Fire &
EMS, created and produced a
music video to accompany the
single. The worldwide premiere of
that country music video aired last week on Maintainer Custom Bodies’ YouTube Channel (https://youtu.be/K3kJw1XBfBo) as well as its website: http://mcbfire.com/FDIC2018.

Together, Riggins and Maintainer plan to bring recognition and support to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which has the mission of honoring and remembering America’s fallen fire heroes.

Riggins will be performing live at various times in the Maintainer Custom Bodies booth in Indianapolis. Visitors to the booth can receive a card that allows them to download the “Big Red Truck” single for free to play on their favorite device.

One of the trucks Maintainer Custom Bodies plans to exhibit is a 15-foot walk-around rescue body on a Ford F550 4×4 chassis. The rescue will also feature Maintainer Custom Bodies’ scene commander, which upfits a new maintainer EH crane with remote-controlled spot/flood lights and optional camera on the end of the boom.

Maintainer Custom Bodies will also show off its redesigned quick-attack vehicle. The unit has a 10-foot body on a Ram 5500 crew cab 4×4 chassis. The vehicle features a CET firefighting system in the bed.
