Harry Marvin Blau, 81 of Sibley, Iowa, died Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at his residence.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Harry Marvin Blau was born April 4, 1939, son of Harry B. and Margaret (Duin) Blau. He grew up near George, Iowa.  

On Jan. 30, 1958, he married Barbara Loetscher.  He worked for neighboring farmers near Sibley.  In 1965 the family moved into Sibley. He farmed and worked for an electric utility company in various departments. In 1996 he retired from the company as line foreman.  

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Marvin (Glenna) Blau and Kevin (Katie) Blau; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Geraldine Harms and Nina Zylstra, and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Blau and Nancy Blau.

He was preceded in death are his parents; three sisters, Veda Klaassen, Velva Korthals and Margaret Kitchenmaster, and three brothers, Bernard, Kenneth and Fred.
