Clarence Venenga, 90, of George, Iowa, died Monday, June 22, 2020, at his home.
Funeral services were Thursday, June 25, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, George, with interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Little Rock, Iowa.
Clarence Marvin Venenga was born March 29, 1930, at Rushmore, Minnesota, son of Tom and Olive (Kruse) Venenga. He grew up in the Little Rock area where he attended country school.
On Jan. 17, 1950, he married Sylvia Lamfers. They made their home in Little Rock and George. His wife passed away Dec. 20, 1995.
On Feb. 15, 1997, he married Claretta Martensen. They made their home in George. He worked various jobs throughout his life, the last one was driving truck for DEMCO Manufacturing in Boyden, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife; his children, Bonnie (Steve) Kruse of George, Charnele (Roger) Lamfers of George and Randy (Liz) Venenga of Rapid City, South Dakota; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn Bock of Little Rock and Erma (Dennis) Hayenga of Little Rock, and a sister-in-law, Jan Lamfers of Sibley, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and brother-in-law, Clifford Block.
