Clara Kruger, 97, of George, Iowa, died Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Rock Rapids Health Centre. 

Private funeral services were Thursday, July 2, at Jurrens Funeral Home of George.

Clara Hinrichs was born May 18, 1923, near George, daughter of John and Bena (Lursen) Hinrichs. She attended country school through eighth grade. 

On June 6, 1946, she married Sylvester “Jack” Kruger. The couple lived on a farm near George until her husband died in 1975. She then moved into George.

Survivors include two sons, LeRoy (Delinda) Kruger of George and Lonnie (Bonnie) Kruger of Little Rock, Iowa; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Mary (Gene) Turner of Ramona, California, along with many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George and Hank Hinrichs, and three sisters, Alice Johnson, Sena Hassebroek and Dora Meyer.
